(Avoca) A scoring milestone was reached by AHSTW senior Kinsey Scheffler on Tuesday night. The four-year starter went over 1,000 career points in the team’s 62-51 win against St. Albert.
Scheffler had 225 as a freshman, 252 as a sophomore, 245 her junior year, and now 279 in her senior campaign. She also has 649 career rebounds and is approaching 200 career steals and assists. This season Scheffler’s numbers show 15.5 points per game on 46.6% shooting.
The Lady Vikes are 16-2 overall and tied with Logan-Magnolia for first place in the Western Iowa Conference standings. AHSTW has conference games remaining at Treynor on Friday and at Tri-Center next week. Logan-Magnolia still has to play IKM-Manning and Riverside.
