(Audubon) Roger Griffith has been named Citizen of the Year and Madison Vorm was announced as the Junior Citizen of the Year during the Audubon Chamber’s Annual Fundraiser and Awards Banquet “Celebrate Audubon.”
Griffith was nominated for his humility, kindness, generosity, and positive demeanor. He’s a lifelong Audubon County resident except for his four year stint in the Navy. He’s a member of the American Legion Post 120 and honor guard. Griffith is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and volunteers through fish fries and tootsie roll sales with the Knights of Columbus. He’s a current member of the Planning and Zoning Board. He retired as a full-time employee from Agriland FS after dedicating 50 years to the company and still helps out when needed.
Vorm is the daughter of Nate and Sara Vorm. She’s described as a leader at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with involvement in youth group, praise band, and as a communion server. At school she’s the FFA historian, a junior class officer, basketball manager, and National Honor Society member. Other activities include volleyball, dance team, softball, choir, band, and she holds three part-time jobs.
