(Omaha/Valley) The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Pottawattamie and Mills counties from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Forecasters are calling for freezing drizzle resulting in a light glaze, and 35-mile per hour wind gusts. The impacts could result in slippery sidewalks, roads, and bridges.
The slippery conditions could cause hazardous travel conditions during the morning commute in Pottawattamie and Mills.
In addition to those two counties, Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Montgomery, Fremont, and Page counties could receive minor ice accumulations. The best chance is along a line from Columbus to Blair, Nebraska to Harlan, Iowa. Current indications are that travel impacts will be minimal.
