(Atlantic) The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce is warning area businesses about a phone scam.
Atlantic Executive Chamber Director Bailey Smith says a woman is claiming to be an accountant from Texas. She claims she’s calling on behalf of the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce and Cass County Sheriff’s Office. The woman asks for information regarding an expired credit card and is very persistent.
Smith says this is not a legitimate call and asks people to refrain from giving out any information. The number she is calling from is, (817) 395-1044.
