(Atlantic) Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Cass County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 12:04 p.m. on Friday in the westbound lanes near the 58-mile marker. Authorities identified the two people injured in the crash as 42-year old Skeeter Hutchinson of Burlington, New Jersey, and 47-year old Michael E. Adger, of Omaha, Nebraska.
According to the report, a 2013 Hino straight truck slid into the north ditch due to the road conditions. The driver and State Trooper were outside the truck assessing the damage when a Super Duty Pickup driven by 24-year old Sheron A. Williams of Omaha, Nebraska traveling too fast for the road conditions lost control. The pickup left the roadway and entered the north ditch striking the front end of the straight truck and nearly struck the Trooper and the driver of the straight truck.
Hutchinson and Adger were both transported by Medivac Ambulance to the Cass County Memorial Hospital.
