(Sioux City) Sophia Peppers scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for NAIA #7 Morningside on Sunday in a loss to #21 Mayville State.
Peppers, a sophomore from Exira-EHK, added four assists and two steals in Sunday’s contest. On Saturday she scored 16 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals in an 86-55 win against Valley City State. Harlan grad Jordyn Moser added 13 points in Saturday’s win. Moser leads the team with 51 assists on the year.
The Mustangs are 11-4 on the season. Peppers has started in all of the team’s 14 games. She averages 13.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She’s shooting 48% from the field, 34% from the 3-point line, and 89.7% at the free-throw line.
