Terry Arnold McCoy, 79, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020, at his home in Atlantic.
Terry was born on March 27, 1941, in Shelby County, Iowa, to Wilbur and Vivian Iona (Sorensen) McCoy.
He was in the Marines and trained as a Naval Air Technician. For most of his life, Terry was a truck driver.
Closer to the end of his life, he enjoyed tinkering in his shop, fishing, and having morning coffee with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverley South.
Terry is survived by his four children, Paula L. (Chris) Christian, Christine McCoy and Troy Boos, Frank W. (Jennifer) McCoy and Curtis T. McCoy; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Dwight McCoy, Karen Rose, Debbie Meyer and Tim McCoy.
Per Terry’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to family’s wishes to be designated at a later date.
