(Elk Horn) Changes may be coming to the shared Superintendent agreement between IKM/Manning and Exira/EHK. The Exira/EHK School Board is scheduled to decide tonight on a new Superintendents contract calling for an 80/20 split. If both parties agree, Trevor Miller would spend 80-percent of his time at IKM/Manning and 20-percent of his time at Exira/EHK.
Trevor Miller serves as the Superintendent for both districts but the IKM/Manning School Board wants Miller in the district more than half the time. Under the agreement, Miller currently serves both districts on a 50/50 basis.
As part of the change, Miller submitted his resignation to the Exira/EHK board at their meeting in January. If both boards agree, the IKM/Manning School District would hold Miller’s contract since they’re the larger district. Under the proposed arrangement, Miller would spend at least one day per week in the Exira/EHK District.
The Exira/EHK School Board meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Conference Room in Elk Horn.
