(Elk Horn) Exira-EHK and CAM matchup Tuesday night with first place in the girl’s Rolling Valley Conference standings on the line. The Spartans and Cougars get together in Elk Horn in a game that will air on KSOM. Both are unbeaten in RVC games. It’s the first of two meetings between these rivals who split last year with each team defending their home court a season ago.
Exira-EHK is 8-1 on the season and ranked 14th in Class 1A. The only loss for the Spartans came in their season opener to a ranked 2A squad. Since falling to Logan-Magnolia on November 25th, Exira-EHK has posted an average margin of victory of 24 points per game. CAM, similarly, has won every game since their opener. The 7-1 Cougars only loss came to a Class 2A top 15 ranked AHSTW squad on November 26th.
Exira-EHK survived a scare in their last outing. They downed Ar-We-Va on the road, 47-43. Macy Emgarten leads Exira-EHK in scoring at 16.1 points per game while Quinn Grubbs and Ellie Schultes each average over 12 points per game. Emgarten is knocking in three 3-pointers per game while Grubbs is shooting 58.7% from the field. Schultes and Grubbs have combined for 47 steals.
