(Mason City, IA) — The book Friday Night Lights spawned a movie and a TV show but it’s being banned from some schools in Iowa. Mason City used artificial intelligence to weed out titles in the library that are not age appropriate. It’s unclear why the book about high school football was one of 19 removed from the shelves. The author, Buzz Bissinger, told The Cedar Rapids Gazette that the ban is “pathetic, infuriating and dangerous.”
