(Des Moines, IA) — An Indiana man, hiking across the country, has reached Iowa. He calls Iowa beautiful, although admits there are a few nuisances.
Brian Christner is hiking 48-hundred miles along the American Discovery Trail, to raise awareness about food insecurity. He’s supported by his own foundation and the Feeding America non-profit. Christner’s goal is to get to the west coast by December. He says he’s worn out five pairs of shoes since he started the trip on the east coast in February.
