(Des Moines, IA) Rising interest rates continue to curb home sales in Iowa. The Iowa Association of Realtors says sales are down slightly compared to last year due to rising interest rates. The statewide median sales price for single-family homes last month was 210-thousand dollars, up five percent over a year ago. Home sales are starting to pick up compared to the last few months, which is typical for the spring season.
