Shooting leaves teen critically injured in West Des Moines

(Des Moines, IA)  —  A teenager is in critical condition at a local hospital following an overnight shooting in West Des Moines.  Police say it happened around 2:40 a.m.  The victim is described as a 16-year-old male.  West Des Moines Police are working with Des Moines Police and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation into the shooting continues.  No other details were released.
