(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa Republicans may ban gender-transitioning medical treatment for minors. House Speaker Pat Grassley says it’s a possibility to see a bill this session, banning practices such as puberty blockers, hormone therapy, surgeries, and more. The potential proposal comes as the Iowa Legislature considers several bills relating to gender identity in schools.
