(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors this morning approved the affirmative action plan.
Jana Lemrick, Human Resources Director, said an affirmative action plan is a plan that outlines an organization, federal contractor or sub contractor’s efforts to provide equal employment opportunities and generally support the advancement of current employees regardless of gender, race, disability or veteran status.
This plan will be reviewed yearly.
In other activity, the Supervisors approved $2,500 in funding for the Southwest Iowa Leadership Academy.
