(Shenandoah) A Nebraska man was transported to the hospital following a single-vehicle accident in Page County Wednesday afternoon.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred near the intersection of 190th Street and C Avenue, approximately two miles east of Shenandoah, at around 4:14 p.m.
The investigation showed 35-year-old William R. Dugan of Elkhorn, Nebraska, was operating a 2016 Nissan Rouge SUV eastbound on 190th Street, approximately ¼ mile west of the intersection with C Avenue, when for unknown reasons Dugan’s passenger side tires dropped off the travelled portion of the road, pulling his vehicle into the south ditch. The side airbags in the vehicle deployed even though the vehicle did not roll or come in contact with anything in the ditch. Dugan then drove in the ditch where the vehicle came to rest.
Dugan was transported to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital by Shenandoah Ambulance service with unknown injuries.
No citations were issued.
Dugan’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Shenandoah Ambulance service, the Shenandoah Fire Department, and the Shenandoah Police Department.
