(Atlantic) Atlantic heads to Ballard Friday night on the heels of a 37-13 week three win over Shenandoah.
The Trojans running game came alive, led by Dante Hedrington’s with 103 yards rushing and aggressive offensive line play. Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer said the Trojans brought their pads to the game.
Atlantic will have to bring that same intensity into Friday’s non-district game against Ballard. The Bombers (1-2) defeated Boone last week 26-0. Coach Brummer says Ballard’s record is deceiving after playing the likes of Bondurant-Farrar and ADM.
Ballard brings a solid run-pass game to the table. Running back Gabe Christensen has 54 carries for 266 yards, and quarterback Ashton Hermann’s 30 carries for 200 yards.
In addition to Hermann’s legs, he sports a live arm completing 39/58 passes for 454 yards and five touchdowns.
The Trojans enter the week 4 game with 296 rushing yards, and 321 passing, and the Trojan’s defensive backs impressed last week with four interceptions.
We will have the game on 95.7 FM and audio streamed on westerniowatoday.com.
