(Atlantic) The Atlantic Volleyball team will get its’ first taste of competition on Saturday. The Trojans host the Southwest Iowa Coaches Clinic.
“I always love the Coaches Clinic because it gives us a chance to take a look at other teams,” said Atlantic Head Coach Michelle Blake. “It also gives us a chance to look at some of the kinks and wrinkles we need to work out. There is an unrestricted substitution with an opportunity to look at players in numerous settings without worrying about the strategic part of the game.”
The tournament consists of 20-minute scrimmages against other teams. The Trojans take the floor at 10:00 a.m. and will play until 12:30 p.m.
The regular-season opener is on Thursday, August 26, at Des Moines Roosevelt.
