Funeral services for 97-year old Bea Mayes, of Greenfield, will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Greenfield with burial at the Greenfield Cemetery. Pastor Melinda Stonebraker will officiate the service.
Friends may call at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Survivors: She is survived by three children: son John (Deborah) Mayes, San Antonio, TX; daughter Jane (Patrick) Beeman, Grimes; and son Craig Mayes, Des Moines; four grandchildren Sara (Sean O.) Curry, Highlands Ranch CO; Adam (Tessa) Mayes, San Antonio, TX, Jon (Leah) Beeman, Johnston, IA and Jason (JoAnn) Beeman, Madrid, IA; 8 great-grandchildren: Sean Peter Curry, Brenna Kathryn Curry; Della Ann Emilia-Baden; Betty Kay Mayes-Baden, Emma Lilly Beeman, Austen River Beeman, Meagan Leigh Beeman, and Ryan Michael Beeman. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family was important in her life and she loved them all dearly.
