(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ basketball team showed much improvement, from their first game on November 22 against Pella to their November 26 game against Denison-Schleswig. Pella downed the Trojans 66-52 in the opener and topped Denison-Schleswig on Tuesday, 73-44.
One of those areas came in transition points for the Trojans on Tuesday.
Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says the Trojans press forced many turnovers.
Vargason says rebounding is another area of improvement from game one to game two.
The Trojans did a much better job of caring for the ball in game two. They had thirty turnovers against Pella and 13 against Denison. Atlantic’s post-Thanksgiving schedule starts on Thursday at St. Albert, December 5, and it hosts Glenwood in a girl/boy doubleheader on December 6.
