Funeral services for 85 year old Sue Mardesen, of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Elk Horn, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 10 at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn. Burial at the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 10.
Sue died on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Heritage House in Atlantic.
Sue is survived by her four children: Cindy (Tom) Boyd of Omaha, NE; Gene (Susan) Mardesen of Elk Horn; Clara Wambold of Omaha, NE; and Carol Hartvigsen (Dan Schnepel) of Kimballton; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren: 2 sisters: Colleen (Gary) Schnepel of Omaha and Arlene (Harold) Reed of Carlisle; 3 sisters-in-law: Sharon (Dick) Nelson of Omaha, Jackie Jensen of Avoca, and Linda Jensen of Council Bluffs; and many other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family in Sue’s name for a donation in her memory. The Ohde Funeral Home in Kimballton entrusted with Sue’s arrangements.
