The Chargers will still be the favorites after a 10-1 season and returning two of their leading rushers — Mike Fuller and Jathan South — in the triple option attack but Head Coach Cody Matthewson is not going to take anyone lightly in the district

Southwest Valley went winless in the district and 2-6 overall, the Timberwolves were Class A the previous season and several teams had moved down from Class 1A which made things more difficult for Head Coach Keegan Longabaugh
Other teams in District 7 include Earlham who returns Senior RB Caleb Smith (1,297 yards, 23 TD); South Central Calhoun who graduates a lot of skill position players, IKM Manning with Junior QB Ben Ramsey (1,245 passing yards) and Senior RB Ben Langel (873 yards rushing) back in fold, and pass happy Panorama to make Class A, District 7 real competitive this season.
