(Lincoln, NE) – Two Nebraska sluggers have been selected to the Great Plains Division in the Northwoods League All-Star Game. Both Case Sanderson and Max Buettenback will be representing the Huskers on July 23rd in Minnesota.
Case Sanderson is hitting .363 at the plate for the LaCrosse Loggers in Wisconsin with six doubles and three home runs. He also has accounted for 50 runs in a 21-game series, tallying 24 RBIs, and also scored 26 total times. Sanderson also has nine multi-hit games with four-plus runs scored.
Max Buettenback is currently one of the top hitters in the league after ranking in the top ten in six total offensive categories. Currently playing for the Willmar Stingers, he leads the league with a .442 batting average, is second in on-base percentage (.565), and sits at the top in slugging percentage at .699. The Lincoln native currently ties for fourth with four homers and is seventh with a total of 38 RBIs while recording eight doubles.
These two will jump into the All-Star game on Tuesday, July 23rd at ISG Field in Minnesota with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
