(Des Moines, IA) — An Iowa police officer is dead after being shot while making an arrest in Northern Iowa Wednesday night. Mitch Mortvedt with the Iowa Bureau of Criminal Investigation says officer Kevin Cram was shot while arresting suspect Kyle Ricke in Algona.
43-year-old Kyle Ricke was arrested across the state border in Minnesota after a four-hour man hunt. He’s charged with first degree murder. 33-year-old Cram was a ten year police veteran.
