Patricia Ann Thomsen was born to Raymond and Viola (Weihs) Musich on March 18, 1941 in Harlan, Iowa. She was a lifelong member at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan, Iowa, being both baptized and confirmed there. Patricia attended grade school at New Park School and St Michael’s and graduated from Harlan High.
Following graduation, Patricia met the love of her life, Roger Thomsen. They were united in marriage on November 21, 1964 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan, Iowa. To this union two sons and a daughter were born, Darren, Stephanie and David.
Patricia worked at Harlan National Bank/ Midstates Bank in Harlan for her entire career from 1960 – 2005. She had many hobbies including; knitting, reading, walking, running, crossword puzzles, playing with her grandchildren, and gardening. She was a loving caretaker to so many.
Patricia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home in Harlan, Iowa attaining the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 18 days. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Stephanie Thomsen and brother Randy Musich.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Thomsen of Harlan, Iowa; children, Darren (Amanda Jones) Thomsen of Spring Hill, KS, and David (Peggy) Thomsen of Iowa City, IA; siblings, Carol Rasmussen of Omaha, NE, Nancy (Bill) Sniffin of Lander, WY, Rodney Musich of Harlan, IA, Terry (Sharon) Musich of Harlan, Iowa, and Tami (Frank) Rueschenburg of Westphalia, IA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many other family members and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Visitation is from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Burial will be at a later date.
