(Anita, IA) – Volleyball returned to Iowa last week and showed an already exciting start to the 2023 season. With volleyball returning, why not get in volleyball action and experience a Triangular at CAM High School?
CAM, East Union, and Exira-EHK will battle in the Triangular tournament tonight at CAM High School. CAM just recently played in the AHSTW Volleyball tournament and went 2-4 to start the season, beating Denison-Schleswig and AHSTW. So far this season, the Cougars are led in kills by Eva Steffensen with 21 and is second in digs with 33 while Emma Follman sits right behind her with 16 kills on the season so far. Jaeylnn Petersen leads the team in blocks with four and in kills with six in two matches.
East Union comes into this triangular with the best record out of the three teams as they are 3-2. Their wins include Twin Cedars Martensville St. Mary’s, and Saydel. They have lost two straight matches and come into the triangular to break that short streak. Brooklyn Mitchell is leading the team in kills with 17 and is followed by Haley Willett who has 15 kills. Leading in digs so far for the Eagles is Avery Staver as she has 65 total digs. Another Staver makes the list of leaders as Sidney Staver has 54 assists in five matches so far.
