Teal and Dove Seasons Open September 1; Make sure you Register for HIP

(Area) Iowa’s teal and dove seasons open September 1^st.

Bryan Hayes, with the DNR office in Lewis, said to hunt migratory birds you have to register with HIP.

You can register on the Go Outdoors Iowa mobile app or online at gooutdoorsiowa.com. Hayes said when you register it will ask you a few questions and then you will get a number, which you will write on your license. You will have to have a hunting license before you register for HIP.
