(Des Moines) According to AAA, the price of regular unleaded gasoline fell three cents this past week, averaging $3.77 across Iowa. The price of gas is .20 cents higher than one year ago. The national average on Tuesday was $3.86, up three cents from last week’s worth.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate by $2.66 per barrel, over last week, currently priced at $81.25. Brent Crude oil fell $1.80 and is currently priced at $85.14. One year ago, WTI crude oil sold for $89.41, and Brent Crude sold for $98.25.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose eight cents this week with a statewide average of $4.13, 20 cents less than the national average. One year ago, diesel prices in Iowa averaged $4.71.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
Natural gas prices fell 24 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $2.69.
