(Ames, IA) – Three men’s basketball players for the Iowa State Cyclones have been placed on the NABC Honors Court. The three individuals were Jaren Holmes, Gabe Kalscheur, and Aljaz Kunc to represent the honor of the NABC. In order to receive the award, you must be a junior or senior and post a GPA of at least 3.2 or higher at the end of both college semesters. This announcement comes from the National Association of Basketball Coaches to honor the three individuals.
Jaren Holmes averaged 13.3 points per game while attaining 3.8 rebounds per game last season. Holmes led the team in scoring and was second in assists for the Cyclones and received the honor for the third time in his collegiate career. Gabel Kalscheur was second to Holmes in scoring while he averaged 12.9 points per game while posting the second-best three-point percentage on the team at .354 overall. Aljaz Kunc averaged 7.1 points per game while tieing for first in rebounding average on the season at 4.1 rebounds per game. Both Kalscheur and Kunc earned the NABC Honor for the second time in their overall career.
