(Pittsburgh, PA) – An Iowan will play in the MLB All-Star Game this year for the first time in nearly a decade. Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller found out yesterday that he’ll be heading to the Mid-Summer Classic in Seattle next week. The 27-year-old Cedar Rapids native graduated from Xavier High School. So far this season, Keller has put up a record of nine wins against three losses with a three-point-three-four ERA. Tony Watson was the last Iowan selected for the All-Star Game back in 2014.
