(Des Moines) The Iowa Supreme Court approves nearly 700 thousand dollars in grants to non-profit organizations that provide civil legal services to low-income Iowans. The funds are going to 11 different programs across the state. Services the different groups provide help Iowans solve problems such as domestic abuse, unsafe housing, illegal evictions, and more. The state’s highest court has given more than 25 million dollars to help low-income Iowans access legal services since 1985.
