(Adair Co) Jotham Arber, Environmental Health Director, told the Adair County Board of Supervisors this morning they have developed a well book; a homeowners guide to taking care of your well.
Arber said all new properties they go out to that have wells dug, re-dug or rehabbed with get a copy of this book.
Arber said he plans to leave some copies at the Auditor’s Office and send them out to realtors and the well drillers.
Arber said they have the highest number of water tests scheduled for Adair County that they have had in the last three years; 29 tests are scheduled for this month.
Arber also noted that they are seeing a lot of septic systems that are coming to the end of life in the four counties they cover and so another big project they are working on is getting those systems on the Beacon website.
