Patricia Esther McKibben, the daughter of John and Eva (Petersen) Davis, was born May 23, 1935, at her parents’ home near Audubon, Iowa and died April 3, 2023, the Oxbow Living Center in Ashland, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 10 days.
Patricia was baptized and confirmed at the Hamlin Lutheran Church in Hamlin, Iowa. She attended rural school near Hamlin then graduated from the Audubon High School with the Class of 1953. Following graduation, Patricia was employed in the Audubon County Sheriff’s department.
On September 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to Charles Rolland McKibbin at her parents’ home in Hamlin, Iowa. They lived in Audubon and Patricia raised the children and helped Charles operate their business the Auto Electric Service. In 1967, they sold the business and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. While living in Omaha, Patricia was employed at various businesses until she retired. Charles died June 21, 2007. Patricia enjoyed her home then later moved to the Oxbow Living Center.
Patricia enjoyed knitting and crocheting. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Charles R. McKibbin; her infant daughter Joni Rhae McKibbin; her parents; her step-mother Florence Davis; her brother Roger Davis; and her sister-in-law Marlys Davis.
Survivors include her children Patrick and wife Misty McKibbin of Bellevue, Nebraska, Paul and wife Jackie McKibbin of Murdock, Nebraska, Perry and wife Cathy McKibbin of Aurora, Colorado, and Penny McKibbin of Panama Beach, Florida; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother Rollin (Swede) Davis of Des Moines, Iowa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering Thursday evening, April 6, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Good Sheperd Funeral Home, L Street Chapel in Omaha, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Dwaine Simonsen on Friday after noon April 7, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 1:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon. Inurnment will be in the Arlington Heights Cemetery in Audubon.
