(Harlan) The Harlan City Council on Tuesday evening held a public hearing and approved the proposed Fiscal Year 2023-2024 City Maximum Property Tax dollars for the affected total levy.
Additionally, the City Council set April 18 for a public hearing on the proposed budget. During the public hearing, Harlan City Administrator Gene Gettys’ stated he had not heard any comments.
The proposed budget should not exceed two million three-hundred and three-thousand, nine-hundred-fifty-nine dollars. This represents a 6.45-percent decrease from the maximum tax dollars requested for the Fiscal Year 2024.
