(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa GOP leadership passed a few priorities through the legislature last week. A bill that would create a Rural Emergency Hospital designation would give some rural hospitals additional funding passed the house with bipartisan support, but several Republican representatives voted against other proposals relating to gender-transitioning medical treatment and gender identity education.
