-Her season numbers include 12.9 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. She’s shooting 50.7% from the field and 82.6% from the free-throw line.

-Placed 16th in the shot put at the Summit League Championships with a throw of 12.19 meters.
Joel Sampson, Junior, Baseball, Simpson
-Simpson 16-7 against St. Norbert last Sunday. Sampson went 1/4 with a run.
-Fell 7-3 against Augustana February 26th.
-The Storm went 1-2 in a weekend series March 4th and 5th against St. Olaf. Sampson went 0/2 in game three.
Sam Porter, Junior, Baseball, Simpson
-Simpson 16-7 against St. Norbert last Sunday.
-Fell 7-3 against Augustana February 26th. Porter started at DH.
-The Storm went 1-2 in a weekend series March 4th and 5th against St. Olaf. Porter had a sacrifice in game one and went 0/2 with a walk in game three.
Abbie Willett, Freshman, Softball, Doane
-Doane beat Kansas Wesleyan 6-3 and 5-0 in a doubleheader last Sunday.
-Split with Benedictine on Saturday, winning 6-3 and losing 23-9.
-Picked up wins of 6-3 and 5-0 against Kansas Wesleyan on Sunday.

-Came in 6th at the NAIA National Championships in the 1650 Freestyle in 17:36.24.
-Placed 9th in the 500 Freestyle in 5:07.12.
-Led off Midland’s 11th place 200 Freestyle Relay.
-Was a member of Midland’s 11th place 400 Freestyle Relay.
-Anchored Midland’s 13th place 800 Freestyle Relay.
-Competed on Midland’s 13th place 400 Medley Relay.
-Swam on Midland’s 14th place 200 Medley Relay.
-Placed 14th in the 200 Freestyle in 1:54.68

-Iowa Central lost 72-41 to Kirkwood on Wednesday. Grooms collected 8 rebounds.
-The Tritons face Iowa Western in the Region XI Tournament on March 8th.
Haley Rasmussen, Sophomore, Basketball and Track, Simpson
-Named 2nd Team All-Conference in the American Rivers Conference.
-Rasmussen averaged 13.2 points per game. She has made 35.2% of her 3-point attempts and is 79.1% on free-throw’s.

-Outdoor season starts March 18th at Emporia State
Drew Engler, Freshman, Track and Field, Simpson
-Simpson’s next meet is April 1st at Wartburg
Taylor McCreedy, Sophomore, Track and Field, Iowa Central
-Placed 4th in the mile (5:04.43) and 4th in the 3000 (10:16.94) at the NJCAA National Championships.
-Competed on the Tritons 12th place 4X400.

-Simpson’s next games are scheduled for March 11th.
Olivia Engler, Sophomore, Softball, Luther
-Engler pitched a scoreless inning in a win against Macalaster College last Sunday.
-Engler also threw a scoreless inning against Macalaster on Saturday with no hits, two walks, and one strikeout.
-Luther beat Gustavus Adolphus 8-0 on Saturday, St. Olaf 3-2 on Sunday, and Grinnell 12-1 on Sunday. Engler picked up the win against Grinnell. She started and went four innings with three hits, one earned run, one walk, and four strikeouts.

-First spring competition is March 6th and 7th.

-Earned All-American honors at the NJCAA Championships in the Weight Throw with a 6th place finish in a mark of 15.80 meters.
-Placed 10th in the shot put at 12.17 meters.

-Placed 17th at the NJCAA National Championships in the 60M Hurdles in 9.57.
-Competed in the Pentathlon, placing 5th in the 60M hurdles, 9th in the 800, 6th in the high jump, 8th in the long jump, and 10th in the shot put.

-For a third year in a row Peppers is a 1st Team selection on the GPAC All Conference Women’s Basketball list.
-The senior is averaging 12.9 points per game along with 6.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. She leads the team in all three categories.
-She has 1,963 career points, 891 rebounds, 417 assists, and 262 steals in 160 career games over five seasons.

-Wartburg made the NCAA Tournament and won each of their first two games.
-The Knights topped #13 Baldwin 57-43 on Friday.
-They defeated #6 Hope College 81-67 on Saturday.
-Next up is #1 Christopher Newport University on March 10th.
