(Shelby Co) Shelby County Election Commissioner Mark Maxwell says starting today, for qualified voters, absentee voting is taking place in the IKM-Manning School District and the Exira-EHK School District for the Special Election to be held March 7th.
All Shelby County residents in the Exira-EHK School district may vote in person absentee at the Courthouse during the normal working hours Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For the IKM-Manning School district election all Audubon and Shelby County voters may vote in person absentee in the Auditors office during the same times of Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
In person absentee voting for this election closes March 6th at 4:30 PM.
IKM-Manning is asking voters to approve the use of $7.9 million in school infrastructure sales service and use tax revenue bonds toward a series of construction and renovation projects at the Manning campus. This will have no impact on property tax or sales tax rates.
Exira-EHK patrons will vote on both a Physical Plant & Equipment Levy (PPEL) and a Revenue Purpose Statement. There will be no tax impact.
