Jordan Christopher Pierce, the son of Jerry Ray Pierce and Pamela Mary (Danker) Jacob, was born November 29, 1983, in Council Bluffs, IA. Jordan died December 25, 2022, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE, at the age of 39 years, and 26 days.
Jordan grew up in Oakland, where he graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 2002. While going to school, he helped his dad Jerry at Pierce Pump. After graduating, Jordan bought a boring machine and started JP Boring. Jordan then expanded his business with JP Boxes. He also continued to work with his dad. On December 5, 2009, Jordan was united in marriage to Sayla Jennine Gardner. Two children were born to this union, Brecken and Blayke. They continued to live in Oakland, where Jordan ran his businesses, until the time of his death.
Jordan was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, and he and Sayla had most recently visited Budapest and Germany. Jordan liked golfing, boating, skiing, hiking, and flying with Sayla. He was an animal lover and enjoyed his dogs. He especially loved spending time with his girls.
Jordan is preceded in death by his grandparents and his cousin Abe Pierce.
He is survived by his wife Sayla Pierce of Oakland, IA; daughters, Brecken and Blayke Pierce of Oakland, IA; parents, Jerry and Suzanne Pierce of Oakland, IA, and Pamela Jacob of Omaha, NE; grandma Mary Jane Danker; sister Justin Pierce and husband Jason Webster of Liberty, MO; step-sister Lisa Fox of Carson, IA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tim and Linda Gardner of Springfield, NE; sister-in-law April James and husband Scott of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law TJ Gardner and wife Katie of Omaha, NE; nieces and nephews: Elon, Je’sel, Grace, Jonathan, Michael, Easton, Justin, Rylee, Camden, Isabelle, and Jackson; his dogs Linkoln and Luka; aunts and uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Jordan will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the Oakland United Methodist Church on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Interment will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Oakland. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
