(Undated) The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services is expanding its Narcan initiative to include schools. H-H-S has offered the opioid overdose prevention medication to eligible organizations and businesses since February 2022. The expansion to schools comes as the State Opioid Response office gets more than nine-million dollars for treatment, recovery, and harm reduction programs from the Biden Administration for the next two years.
