40th Anniversary Of Johnny Gosch’s Disappearance

(West Des Moines, IA) — Monday marked the 40th anniversary of one of the state’s most high-profile unsolved missing person cases.

It was on this date that 12-year-old Johnny Gosch disappeared while delivering newspapers in his neighborhood in West Des Moines.

Police have continued following leads but have never been able to determine what happened to Gosch on September 5th, 1982.
