Kuemper sweeps West Central Valley Cross Country Meet

(Redfield) Kuemper Catholic cross country earned boys and girls team titles at West Central Valley’s Invitational on Thursday. They also produced the individual girls champion with Marie Dae crossing the finish line in 21:32. Nodaway Valley’s Doug Berg (pictured) took the boys individual crown with a time of 17:39.

Kuemper, which is led by former Atlantic runner Tom Nelson in his first year as head coach, scored 39 points on the boys portion of the competition to hold off Interstate-35 by a ten point margin. The girls team had a 21 point cushion over Interstate-35 with a winning total of 55 points.
