(Greenfield) On Wednesday the Adair County Board of Supervisor’s discussed the future of South Townline Road.
A piece of property along South Townline for potential housing development will be up for sale on Saturday. “That road is a dirt road. Greenfield Economic Development is looking at purchasing the property. They are also looking at developing it into lots. Right here is the dirt road and we are proposing 6-8 lots. If we get it purchased. What are the chances of getting that road graveled?”
The road has been kept open in the past, for the purpose of future development. “I wanted to close it five or six years ago and County Engineer Nick Kauffman said we needed to leave it open exactly for that. I’m giving him credit for talking me out of it. I wanted to close the darn thing because it was such an issue, but they fixed it up so it looked passable.”
In other activity, the board also approved a Fireworks Permit Application and Group Term Life Insurance Renewal.
