(Guthrie Center) ACGC competed at the Iowa State Indoor Meet on Thursday last week.
Coach Colin Shawgo was asked about his main takeaway from the team’s first competition.
Coach Shawgo is focused on being the best at the end of May, not necessarily in the middle of March.
Among the headliner returning from last season is Chloe Largent who placed in the high jump last year at state.
Shawgo adds the shuttle hurdle relay group has been really fun to watch with Jenna Rowley, Saige O’Brien, Sophie Dorsey, and Hayden Coffman. That group placed 3rd in Ames. He says they have some young and promising sprinters as well.
