(Kansas City) Iowa State struggled to get on track in a 72-41 loss on Thursday against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tourney. The Cyclones move to 20-12 on the season.
Tyrese Hunter led the team with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Izaiah Brockington scored 7. The Cyclones were 15/48 (31.3%) from the field and 5/25 (20%) from 3-point range. Texas Tech built a double figure lead by the middle stages of the first half and led by 19 at the break.
The Red Raiders advance to face Oklahoma on Friday night in the semifinals. The Sooners upset #3 Baylor 72-67 in the quarterfinals.
