(Des Moines) Iowa House District 21 Representative Tom Moore attended several committees this past week.
Moore said the State Government Committee unanimously passed HSB 567 which would require the General Assembly, statewide offices and countywide offices to file an additional supplementary report during non-election years.
State Government also voted HSB 573 through committee.
Another bill that passed is House Study Bill 123 which would create licensure of midwives and allow licensed midwives the ability to obtain necessary screening and testing for clients, and the administration of specific medication for clients. Moore said it would also establish a board of midwifery to write rules, review license applications, and review complaints. In addition, it would allow midwives to be covered by insurance plans.
