(Oakland) Riverside scored 209 points and won the team championship in their home gym on Saturday for the Sectional Tournament. The Bulldogs had five individual champs and three runners-up.
Winning their weight class for Riverside were Davis Bramman (106), Jace Rose (126), Taven Moore (132), Nolan Moore (152), and Brock Comstock (220). Winning wrestlebacks to advance to districts were Brody Zimmerman (182) and Nate Messerscmhidt (285) while Jett Rose (138) also finished 2nd.
ACGC crowned champs at 113 and 120 with Tegan Slaybaugh and Gavin Sloss. The Chargers also qualify 160 pound runner-up Dawson Mueller for Districts next week at Underwood.
Griswold also competed at Riverside on Saturday, but didn’t advance any of their three competitors. Cale Swain had the team’s top finish, coming in 3rd.
Bedford/Lenox was the team runner-up with 187 points while West Central Valley, ACGC, and SW Valley rounded out the top five teams.
