(Area) Sectional Wrestling Tournament for Class 1A and 2A teams will take place Saturday, beginning at noon.
In Class 1A, Nodaway Valley/O-M will be among eight teams in the field at Interstate-35. AHSTW is hosting Audubon, Coon Rapids-Bayard, St. Albert, Treynor, Tri-Center, and Underwood. Riverside welcomes ACGC, Bedford/Lenox, East Mills, East Union, Griswold, SW Valley, and West Central Valley.
In Class 2A, Atlantic/CAM is at Central Decatur. Other teams in the sectional include Clarinda, Clarke, Creston, and Shenandoah. The opposite sectional will be held in Harlan where they Cyclones host Carroll, Glenwood, Greene County, Red Oak, and Southwest Iowa.
The top two individuals in each weight class advance to next weekend’s District Tournament.
KSOM will air a sectional wrestling recap show from approximately 5-6 p.m. on Saturday. KS95.7 FM will have reports during the early rounds from Central Decatur along with live coverage of finals matches.
