(Corning) KSOM/KS95.7 Sports will be on hand for the John J. Harris Wrestling Tourney in Corning this weekend. SW Valley will host the 67th annual event featuring 25 teams.
There will be 28 ranked wrestlers in the field. SW Valley Activities Director Allen Naugle in a press release lists Creston as a favorite with Atlantic/CAM, Clarinda, Missouri Valley, and Winterset all looking to battle it out in the top five.
Pigtails and Championship First Round matches are scheduled from 4-7 p.m. on Friday with Quarterfinals and First Round Consolations from 7-10 p.m. KSOM and KS95.7 FM will have updates on the air every 30 minutes throughout the tournament with live coverage of the finals. Saturday’s wrestling begins at 10:00 a.m. with Second Round Consolations. The Semifinals and 3rd round consolations are scheduled for 11:30-1:30 on Saturday. Consolation Semifinals along with 5th and 6th place matches will begin around 1:45 with the Championship Matches around 3:50 p.m.
