Karen Hanten, 50, of Des Moines (formerly of Greenfield) passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Everystep Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa.
Funeral Services: Will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the St. John’s Catholic Church. Pastor Cainos Manyara will officiate the service. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements (formerly Steen Funeral Home). Open Visitation: Will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Survivors: She is survived by her two sons, Adam and Matthew Hanten of Clive; three brothers, Stephen Ehm of Greenfield, Paul Ehm of Greenfield and John Ehm (Theresa) of California; three sisters, Rose Riggs of Norwalk, Mary Eason of Mt. Ayr and Helen Ehm of Oskaloosa; other relatives and friends.
