(Omaha) Ryan Hawkins had 25 points and 8 rebounds in a Creighton victory over #24 BYU on Saturday. The Bluejays won 83-71.
Hawkins went 10/18 from the field and 4/8 from 3-point range. He scored 18 points in the first half as Creighton built a 48-30 lead. Ryan Nembhard scored 17, Alex O’Connell added 15, and Ryan Kalkbrenner posted 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Creighton made 21/25 (84%) from the free-throw line.
Next up for the Bluejays is Arizona State on Tuesday. Creighton is 8-2 on the season.
